Most Facebook user profiles have already been converted to Timeline. Now businesses are able to convert their pages to Timeline.

This new design allows businesses to express themselves more creatively using a cover photo, story pinning and a page timeline. Timeline also gives businesses new controls and features allowing them to respond to their audience in a faster, more personal way. One of these interesting new changes is the ability to receive direct messages from users.

With all these new additions, there are some features that will be disappearing with this new design such as the option to set a third party tab or app as the default (i.e. custom welcome pages).

All Facebook pages will be converted to this new design on March 30^th, but page administrators can switch over immediately if they would like. You can see what your page is going to look like and learn more about the new changes here.
